Didmarton Village Hall & Playing Fields

A Venue for All Occasions

Didmarton lies in the beautiful Cotswolds in the county of Gloucestershire. Bordering the Badminton Estate, home of the Duke of Beaufort, Didmarton is a quintessentially English village dating back to the 12th Century. Today, it is a thriving community of 160 homes, young and old.

The Didmarton Village Hall is a charity which is run by volunteers, the charity number is 274643. This website is run by the Didmarton Village Hall and Community Committee which supports the Village Hall, community groups and individual villagers. It also allows you to keep track of village events and view the local Dyddi Digest. We hope you find it useful.

The Village Hall is set in a generous area of greenery including managed playing fields and is the perfect venue for weddings, birthdays and all occasions. It is available for hire at great rates seven days a week.

the Dyddi Digest

The Dyddi Digest is the local monthly newspaper covering Didmarton, Leigherton, Boxwell and Sopworth.

Taken from what is thought to be the 7th century origin of Didmarton's name - Dyddimaertun - believed to mean the boundary - maere - farm - tun - of a My Dyddi.

Over the coming months we are hoping to add additional content to the on-line version.
